Huntsville Museum of Art

Located in downtown Huntsville among the tranquil beauty of Big Spring International Park, the Huntsville Museum of Art is a complete experience. Each year, the nationally accredited Museum fills its seven galleries with a variety of traveling exhibitions & the work of nationally and regionally acclaimed artists. The Museum?s own 2,522-piece permanent collection also forms the basis for several yearly exhibitions. The Museum is also the home of the world?s largest collection of Buccellati silver animals.

Ave Maria Grotto

Ave Maria Grotto, known throughout the world as "Jerusalem in Miniature" for the public to enjoy. Brother Joseph Zoettl thoughout his lifetime work has made theses creations out of stone and concrete. is a beautifully landscaped, four-acre park designed to provide a natural setting for the 125 miniature reproductions of some of the most famous historic buildings and shrines of the world.

Tennessee Valley Art Association

The TVAA has been organized to operate and maintain a center for the arts, to encourage improvement in the quality of life in northwest Alabama through furthering expression in and the appreciative understanding of all of the arts, to conduct planned programs, demonstrations, exhibitions, etc. on various phases of the arts, and to provide varied art-education opportunities for its members and for the general public.

Burritt on the Mountain

Dr. William Henry Burritt's eclectic mansion is a historic park with restored 19th century houses including a barnyard with animals, and concerts, plays and exhibits for the public. In 1955 Dr. Burritt willed his mansion and surrounding acres of Round-Top Mountain to Huntsville, making it Huntsville's first museum.

Flying Monkey Art Center

Flying Monkey Arts Center is a nonprofit community arts collective that encourages, supports and promotes events, workshops and studios featuring but not limited to music, film, theater, dance, puppetry, visual and performance art with a focus on experimental works for mature audiences.

Renaissance Theater

Renaissance Theatre presents a diverse season of plays each year. Some are classics and others are experimental works.

Concert in the Park

From Memorial Day through Labor Day, Concerts in the Park provide a FREE summer music series for the public. Audiences can enjoy an eclectic blend of tunes, from jazz to rock-n-roll, in an al fresco setting at the south end of downtown Huntsville?s Big Spring International Park.

Broadway Theater League

The Broadway Theatre League brings top touring shows, classic musicals and cutting-edge new shows every year. Some performances have internationally known performers. All shows are professionally presented in the Von Braun Center's Concert Hall.

Weeden House


Built in 1819, The Weeden House was the home of several distinguished early Huntsvillians. Now a museum, it is home to the artwork of Maria Howard Weeden and currently houses many of her works in the museum collection. Purchased by the Weeden family in 1845, it has been passed down through generations. Except for the Civil War years when it was requisitioned for the use of Federal Officers, the home was occupied by Weeden's descendants until it was sold in 1956. The Weeden House Museum is now owned by the city of Huntsville and is leased by the Twickenham Historic Preservation District Association and maintained as a 19th Century house museum.



Theater Huntsville

The purpose of Theatre Huntsville is to foster, encourage, strengthen and perpetuate Member and civic interest in the legitimate theater and the dramatic arts, primarily through the production of theatrical performances. Theatre Huntsville is a voluntary association, organized under the laws of the State of Alabama as a corporation not for profit.

Merrimack Hall Performing Arts Center

The 300 seat Merrimack Hall presents a blend of performing arts events including Off-Broadway productions, touring troupes, music events, and master classes, as well as nationally-recognized musicians, choreographers, and actors.

Huntsville Symphony Orchestra

Huntsville is a fully professional orchestra whose members come from throughout the state. Past seasons guest artists included Yo-Yo Ma and Art Garfunkel.

Huntsville Community Chorus Association

For over 63 years, The Huntsville Community Chorus has been presenting great choral music and musicals for Huntsville and its outlying neighbors. Its repertoire includes classical, jazz, country, broadway, and notable music from the movies.

Lowe Mill

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment lies in the east and south wings of Lowe Mill. Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment houses The Flying Monkey Arts Center, Tina?s Cantina, Susan Knecht Glass Studio & Gallery, Ozaki Fine Art, Amber Brookman, The Wedge?Rita Burkholder, The Dead Workers Party and many more artists. There is a weekly artist market held every Saturday from 12-4 pm and music, film, theatre events every weekend.
